At TAN Academy, our academic coaches are our best-kept secret. They are veteran homeschooling moms who are dedicated to finding the ways that homeschooling fits best into your family's life. They'll help you figure out exactly what you need (and what you don't need) and support you every step of the way. Do you have five school-aged kids? They will help you best utilize the Schoolhouse Method so that you're not managing five completely different sets of material. Can't figure out how to get your child to enjoy reading? Our coaches have tips and tricks based off firsthand experience to help you.
We are proud to offer unlimited academic coaching for all families enrolled in TAN Academy, and a complimentary session for families who are not enrolled. That means you have your own personal cheerleaders helping you through every step of your homeschooling journey!
Meet Our Academic Coaches
Krista Thomas
Krista Thomas is a Catholic wife, mother, and convert to the Faith and currently resides in South Dakota. As a busy academic coach for TAN Academy, Krista recently retired from homeschooling duties of 20 years. She is a valued publicist for TAN Books and writes for TAN Direction, American Essence Magazine, and other publications on themes that include literature, spirituality, education, and homeschooling. When tapped for speaking engagements, her talks are based on Catholic homeschooling and marriage.
Lisa Clark
Lisa Clark is the mother of nine children. Five of her children have gone on to college, while three are currently being homeschooled. Lisa graduated from Christendom College in 1990 with a degree in English Literature. She worked for four years as a home school consultant for Seton Home Study School. She lives with her husband, John, and her family in central Florida.
